今日の「聴き比べ」はローリング・ストーンズ(The Rolling Stones)の『シーズ・ア・レインボー(She's a Rainbow)』です。
久しぶりにストーンズの「聴き比べ」です。
この曲はストーンズの中でも比較的好きな曲です。１９６７年のアルバム『サタニック・マジェスティーズ(Their Satanic Majesties Request)』に収められた曲で、アメリカや日本ではシングルカットされましたが、イギリス本国ではされませんでした。
アルバム『サタニック・マジェスティーズ』はビートルズの『サージェント・ペパーズ』に対抗して作られたアルバムと言われています。彼らの中でも最もサイケデリックなアルバムになっていおり、発売当初は評判はよくありませんでしたが、結果的にはそこそこの売上げを上げました。中でもこの「シーズ・ア・レインボー」は名曲でした。ニッキー・ホプキンス(Nicky Hopkins)のピアノが印象的です。
