今日の「聴き比べ」は『ラヴァーズ・コンチェルト(A Lover's Concerto)』です。
この曲は多くの人が一度は耳にしたことがあるのではないでしょうか。
元歌は１９６５年にアメリカのガールズ・グループ、トーイズ(The Toys)が歌って大ヒットした曲です。ビルボード２位、キャッシュボックス１位でした。
曲を作ったのはサンディ・リンザー&デニー・ランドル(Sandy Linzer and Denny Randell)です。この曲のさらに原曲はバッハの『メヌエット ト長調 BWV Anh.II/114』だそうです（ウィキペディアより）。
さらに日本では女性ジャズ・ヴォーカルの大御所、サラ・ヴォーン(Sarah Vaughan)の歌唱で有名になりました。今やポップスのスタンダードナンバーです。
