この曲はデイヴ・メイソン(Dave Mason)作でトラフィック(Traffic)の１９６８年のセカンドアルバム『トラフィック(Traffic)』に収められました。

デイヴ・メイソンは落ち着きのない人で、トラフィックに加入後、ファーストアルバムをリリースすると一旦バンドを離れます。そしてセカンドアルバムの録音を開始するので呼び寄せられます。その時にこの曲を持参しました。
すると、セカンドアルバムリリース後に再びバンドを離れます。トラフィックの３枚目と４枚目のアルバムにはデイヴ・メイソンの名はありません。続いて５枚目のライブアルバムにはちゃっかり戻ってきました。もっともこのアルバムは「Traffic」名義ではありませんでしたが。以降、再びバンドを離れそのままになりました。それでもスティーヴ・ウィンウッドやジム・キャパルディとは競演しています。
ソロになった後もこの曲はデイヴ・メイソンのライブの定番になっています。ライブアルバムの多くに収められています。日本公演でも演奏しました。

そして１９６９年にジョー・コッカー(Joe Cocker)が、そのデビューアルバム『With a Little Help from My Friends』でこの曲をカバーしました。ジョー・コッカーはこのアルバムでビートルズのタイトル曲、ボブ・ディランの「I Shall Be Releast」「女の如く(Just Like a Woman)」、その他「悲しき願い」などもカバーして、その後レオン・ラッセルと共にマッド・ドッグス＆イングリッシュマン・ツアーで名を馳せました。
