今日の「聴き比べ」は『雨にぬれても』です。
この映画は１９６９年公開のアメリカン・ニューシネマの代表作『明日に向かって撃て』の主題歌です。
映画は実に面白かったですね。『俺たちに明日はない』に続き実在の銀行強盗を描いた映画です。ラストシーンが『俺たちに明日はない』と違ってストップ・モーションでした。役者も揃いました。ポール・ニューマン、ロバート・レッドフォード、そしてキャサリン・ロス。『卒業』で一躍人気女優になりました。この年に続けて『夕陽に向かって走れ』にも出演しました。美しかった。
この『雨にぬれても』はバート・バカラックの作曲にハル・デヴィッドが作詞をし、Ｂ.Ｊトーマスが歌ってヒットしました。ポール・ニューマンがキャサリン・ロスを自転車の前に乗せて走るシーンで使われました。名シーンです。
