今日の「この人の、この１枚」は『Chicago/The Blues/Today! 』です。
シカゴ・ブルースのコンピレーション・アルバムです。ヴァンガード・レコードから１９６６年にVol.1~Vol.3まで発売されました。日本では１９６９年に発売されているようです。学生時代に散々中古レコード屋を巡って探しましたが見つからず、そのうち諦めて忘れ去っていました。
それが１９９９年に３枚組ＣＤとなって再発されたのです。しかも分厚いブックレット付です。思わず買ってしまいました。こういうことがあるから長生きするもんですね。

シカゴ・ブルースのファンのみならずブルース・ファン、ブルース・ロック・ファンには垂涎ものの１枚です。
