今日の「聴き比べ」はビージーズ(Bee Gees)の『Melody Fair』です。
１９７１年のイギリスの映画『小さな恋のメロディ』の主題歌として起用され大ヒットしました。『小さな恋のメロディ』はマーク・レスターとトレイシー・ハイド演じる少年少女の恋物語です。本国よりも日本でヒットしたようです。
ビージーズの曲は以前にも聴き比べていました。
小さな恋のメロディのサウンドトラックのＬＰは大人気で女子高生たちがアルバムを裸のままで持ち歩いているのをよく見かけました。主演の二人とも実にかわいかったので人気があったのでしょうね。
