今日の「聴き比べ」は『Sad and Deep as You』です。
この曲はデイブ・メイソン(Dave Mason)の１９７０年のファーストソロアルバム『アローン・トゥゲザー(Alone Together)』に収録された曲で、その後のライブ・アルバムではほとんど歌われていた程の彼の定番曲です。
また、１９７１年にデイヴ・メイソンが一時的にトラフィック(Traffic)に戻った時のライブアルバム『Wellcome to the Cabteen』でも披露しています。デイブ・メイソンの曲の中でも好きな曲の中の１曲です。本人も余程お気に入りなのでしょう。
