この曲は１９５１年にロイ・ホーキンス(Roy Hawkins)とリック・ダーネル(Rick Darnell)によって書かれたマイナー・ブルースです。ロイ・ホーキンスはこの年にリリースして、ビルボードのＲ＆Ｂ部門で６位になるヒットとなりました。
しかし、この曲が後にブルースのスタンダードになるまでになったのはＢ.Ｂ キング(B.B King)のカバーによるところが大です。１９６９年のアルバム『Completely Well』に収録されたこの曲は大ヒットし、ビルボードの総合１５位になりました。ソウル部門では３位です。
多くのブルースマンやロック・ミュージシャンにカバーされました。
