今日の「聴き比べ」はバッド・カンパニー(Bad Company)の１９７６年リリースの３枚目のアルバムのタイトル曲で『Run with the Pack』です。
ポール・ロジャース(Paul Rodgers)はフリー(Free)を解散すると、同じくフリーのドラマー、サイモン・カーク(Simon Kirke)、モット・ザ・フープル(Mott the Hoople)のギタリスト、ミック・ラルフス(Mick Ralphs)、さらにキング・クリムゾン(King Crimson)のベーシスト、ボズ・バレル(Boz Burrell)とともにバッド・カンパニーを結成、出だしから好調な滑り出しを見せました。デビューの年に早速日本公演も実現しました。興奮しました。
そして１９７６年に３枚目のアルバム『Run with the Pack』がリリースされました。全米５位となるミリオン・セラーでした。このタイトル曲はシングルカットされなかったと思いますが、いい曲でした。
