この曲はレイ・チャールズ(Ray Charles)のオリジナルだとばっかり思っていました。
ところが、原曲はドン・ギブソン(Don Gibson)の１９５８年、本人の歌唱で大ヒットした曲でした。その後、レイ・チャールズやロイ・オービソン、ポール・アンカなどによってカバーされ、今ではスタンダード・ナンバーになっています。
