今日の「聴き比べ」は『モア(More)』です。
１９６２年のイタリア・フランス合作映画『世界残酷物語(Mondo Cane)』のテーマ曲です。
私がこの映画を観たのはずっと後になってから、たぶん高校生の頃だったと思います。当時としてはかなりショッキングでした。グァルティエロ・ヤコペッティ監督のドキュメンタリーです。今振り返れば結構やらせ的な部分もかなりあったのだと思います。
映画の内容とは対照的なのがこの主題歌でした。美しいメロディーといかがわしい画面が何故かしっくりして感心したものでした。
