今日の「聴き比べ」は『クレイドル・ロック(Cradle Rock)』です。
ロリー・ギャラガー(Rory Gallagher)の１９７３年の５枚目のアルバムで名盤『タトゥー(Tattoo)』のA面の２曲目です。このアルバムには「いれずみの女(Tattoo'd Lady)」、「１００万マイルも離れて(A Million Miles Away)」などの名曲が揃います。
この曲はライブでも数多く演奏されています。『Irish Tour '74』や『Live at Montreux』など、その他プライベート盤にも多く収録されています。

そして、先日『Fire and Water』と『Walk In My Shadow』の記事でも紹介したようにジョー・ボナマッサ(Joe Bonamassa)の２枚組ライブアルバム『Beacon Theatre: Live from New York』でカバーしています。また、彼のその他のライブアルバム『Tour De Force』シリーズの『Live In London - Hammersmith Apollo』にも収録されています。とにかくこの人、ライブアルバムが多すぎてついて行くのが大変です。
