今日の「聴き比べ」はウォズ(ノット・ウォズ)の『どうしたのWAS ? (Where Did Your Heart Go?)』です。
『どうしたのWAS ?』なんて、ひどいタイトルが付いてしまったこの曲は、ウォズ(ノット・ウォズ)のデビュー・アルバムに収録された曲です。
ウォズは１９８１年にレコードデビューしたバンドです。バンド自体はさほどの成功は収めませんでしたが、メンバーのドン・ウォズ(Don Was)はボブ・ディランやストーンズ、リッキー・リー・ジョーンズ、ホリー・コールなどのプロデューサーとしても大活躍した人物です。
このファースト・アルバムの中でも異色のバラードが今日の『Where Did Your Heart Go?』です。私の大のお気に入りです。
