この曲はジョニー・バーネット(Johnny Burnette)の１９６０年のヒット曲です。ジョニー・バーネットはロックンロールバンド、ジョニー・バーネット・トリオ(Johnny Burnette Trio)のメンバーで１９５７年にバンド解散ののちソロに転向してこの曲を含め数曲のヒット曲を生みました。１９６４年に船舶事故で亡くなりました。この曲は全米8位を記録しました。

しかし、この曲がさらに有名になったのはやはりリンゴ・スター(Ringo Starr)でしょう。１９７３年のソロアルバム『Ringo』に収録され、シングルカットで全米1位になりました。リンゴのソロはこのブログ初登場かもしれません。
