今日の「聴き比べ」は『シーズ・ア・レディー(She's a Lady)』です。
この曲も私はトム・ジョーンズ(Tom Jones)の歌唱で知ったのですが、実はポール・アンカ(Paul Anka)でした。ポール・アンカが１９７０年にアルバムの中で発表していました。
１９７１年にトム・ジョーンズがリリースしてヒットしました。しかし、この曲の後、トム・ジョーンズには目立ったヒット曲は生まれませんでした。
私もトム・ジョーンズ・ファンでもないので、ラジオから彼の歌声が聴こえなくなると。そのまま記憶の中から消えました。
それでも６０年代後半の熱狂は凄いものがありました。
